Children of Confederacy Meeting January 29, 2010
The North Carolina Division Children of the Confederacy Convention
will be held on April 16 - 17, 2010 in Wilmington, N. C.
Cape Fear Chapter 3 members who are interested in helping with the
C of C Convention should plan to attend a meeting at the home of
Third Vice President, Ellen Money on Friday, January 29, 2010 at
10:30 A. M.

February 2010 Chapter Meeting
The February meeting of Cape Fear Chapter 3 will be held on Wednesday,
February 17, 2010 at Wesley Methodist Church in Wilmington, N. C.
Due to a number of requests, the time of the meetings have been changed from
11:00 A.M. TO 10:00 A.M.
Please make a note of the new time! The March meeting scheduled for
Wednesday, March 17, 2010 at Wesley Methodist Church
is also scheduled to begin at 10:00 A.M.

There will be a vote on prospective member(s) at the February

Chapter Elections Coming Soon!
A new year is approaching in just a few days, which means that Chapter elections are
right around the corner. If you are interested in holding a chapter office from
2010 thru 2012, please contact Martha Watson at: mewdss@aol.com
A few members have expressed an interest in holding an office, but we still need more
to consider the office of Chapter President, Vice President, Second Vice
President, Third Vice President, registrar, etc.....
So, please, give some thought over the next week or two to holding an office,
and let any of the nominating committee members listed below know, or email

Nominating Committee
A nominating committee was formed at the October meeting to prepare a
list of members interested in running for chapter offices for 2010 - 2012.
Members of the committee are:

Anyone interested in running for a particular office should contact one of the
above members. The slate of officers will be presented at the March 2010
meeting, and elections will be held in April 2010. New officers
will be installed June 2010.

North Carolina Division Convention
The United Daughters of the Confederacy North Carolina Division Convention
will be held at the Courtyard Marriott in Carolina Beach from
October 6, 2010 thru October 9, 2010.
