Cape Fear Chapter 3 Officers for 2010-2012 

     Elections were held today, and the new officers are listed below:

  Jefferson Davis Picnic at Hugh MacRae Park

The new chapter officers were installed on Saturday, June 12, 2010 at

Hugh MacRae Park.  North Carolina Division President, Mrs. Emily Champion, presided

over the installation ceremony. 

Outgoing Chapter President, Charlotte Kelly, was presented with a certificate from

UDC Headquarters.  Cape Fear Chapter 3 members were contacted by Claudia and Polly,

to send a donation to the chapter treasurer.  The contributions were donated to the UDC Memorial

Fund, in Charlotte's name by the Cape Fear Chapter, and UDC Headquarters sent a

certificate of appreciation, which was presented to Charlotte.

Members donated $500.00 on Charlotte's behalf.  Charlotte was also presented with

a Past President's pin to honor her service as Chapter President from 2008 - 2010.

 North Carolina Division Convention

October 6 - 9, 2010

Courtyard Marriott at Carolina Beach

Plans are underway for the North Carolina Division Convention which will be held

at the Courtyard Marriott at Carolina Beach. 

The convention will be hosted by District VII, which includes the following chapters:

Bladen Stars Chapter 2303 - Elizabethtown

Blockade Runner Chapter 2428 - Wrightsville Beach

Cape Fear Chapter 3 - Wilmington

Confederate Heritage Chapter 2574 - LaGrange

Fort Fisher Chapter 2325 - Carolina Beach

 Onslow Guards Chapter 1477 - Jacksonville

The North Carolina UDC website at www.ncudc.org has not updated the forms section

which will include all of the convention forms, including the registration form.  The deadline

for submitting the registration form is September 10, 2010. 

As soon as the forms become available on the website, a notice will be placed on the website

and an email sent out to everyone who has given the chapter their email address.

Copies of all forms will be mailed out to members who do not have access to a

computer.  When the forms are available online, and you are unable to print them

out, please send Martha an email at:  mewdss@aol.com, and a copy of the

forms will be mailed to you. 

This is being done because our first meeting in September

will be after the deadline for registration.

This will be a great opportunity to attend the Division Convention, participate in the

"Silent Auction," and see what other chapters have available for sale !

Per our chapter by-laws, each member who pays the registration fee and attends the Division

Convention will be reimbursed for that expense by the chapter.
